Hotel Review: Mandarin Oriental, Singapore - One Of The Best and Classic Luxury in Marina Bay

Assalamualaikum and Good Day...

Over my years of luxury travel writing, Mandarin Oriental Singapore is one that I've come to know and love. If you're unfamiliar, Mandarin Oriental in Singapore is a five-star luxury hotel in Marina Bay. Shaped like our iconic fan, the hotel only minutes from central business district and with a choice of fabulous restaurants and fantastic rooms.

As you know, Singapore is not very big  and this is a great place to be. This is where you can find all of the high-end designer brands and many hotels. You'll quickly notice the strong feeling of luxury when you walk in the front doors of the hotel. You're welcomed to very large and impressive lobby.

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is located in Marina Centre next to Marina Square Shopping Mall and near Suntec City, home to one of Asia Pacific's largest convention centers - the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the city's financial district. The hotel includes 527 rooms and suites, 6 restaurants and bars, and the Spa at Mandarin Oriental.

The hotel was built in 1987, the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore underwent a significant renovation in 2004 to update the hotel's interiors. In both 2010 and 2011, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore was named in Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List.

The hotel's 527 rooms and suites overlooks the Singapore city skyline. It was designed by John Portman. Entering the lobby, you will gets mesmerized by the cavernous atrium. As the brand name suggests, the decoration is very much based on a theatre concept and intended the exterior of the structure to resemble a fan, a nod to the Mandarin Oriental logo. Near 100 pieces of fine regional art adorn the property's interior.

The hotel offers business and personal amenities for its guests. It has ball rooms, suites, functional rooms and boardrooms for meetings. Additionally, the hotel has a Business Center available to its guests. The hotel houses six restaurants, as well as a bar and a private lounge. The Oriental Club is the largest hotel lounge in Singapore.

After an effortless check-in, I was escorted up to the room. I must say that I was super excited because I was already enjoying the design throughout the hotel. When I entered the room, I fell in love. We all have our personal preferences, and I must admit that this is my favorite style. Classic yet elegant luxury.

The way that everything fit together was flawless. Not only is the bedroom beautiful, the bathroom is simply gorgeous!

Not far away is their outdoor pool. The convenience is unreal. It overlooks the pool which is always a great touch. They also have their restaurants and bars.

The property is well-known for coming up with creative staycation packages. It is because you can enjoy great views of Marina Bay at the hotel as well as experience a variety of dining options and the pampering Oriental Club Lounge experience elevate the guest experience to a level that ranks as one of the most luxurious in Singapore.

Alternatively, you can access their accommodation packages at Public Holiday Singapore over the last few days. We can compare prices on hotels easily and read reviews. Reading reviews helps choose the right hotel that best fits our budget and expectations.
